Ye Li concentrates on international trade and WTO laws, specifically trade remedy, customs, export control, economic sanction, supply chain and trade regulatory compliance. Ye is experienced with interpreting and applying the laws and working with administering authorities.

Ye has extensive experience with trade remedy investigations and trade regulatory measures. He has represented a very large number of exporters and industry associations in anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard investigations/reviews in many jurisdictions, including the EU, the US, India, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Mexico, Turkey and China. As the government counsel, Ye worked in a series of WTO dispute settlement proceedings between China and the US in relation to China’s anti-dumping and countervailing measures on imports from the US.

Further, Ye advised clients on a variety of customs matters, including classification, valuation, country of origin, China’s processing trade regime and FTA. He assisted clients to respond to customs audit and investigation. Ye also advised export control and economic sanction matters, including controlled item classification, licensing, internal audit and investigation and regulatory compliance. In recent years, Ye assisted many clients in solar panel, aluminum and automobile sectors on supply chain regulation and compliance matters.

Ye is a regular researcher on international trade law. He managed many advisory research programs for government clients including anti-circumvention, evaluation of Chinese trade remedy instruments and the Rules Negotiation of Doha Round.

Ye graduated from Tianjin University, China with LLB degree. Afterwards he received LLM degree of International and European Law (magna cum laude) from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands and LLM degree of Business Law from the University of California, Berkeley, respectively.
