On September 2, 2014, the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Overseas Investment Services Platform was officially launched. China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Admission Deputy Director Dai Haibo hailed the platform as an important step to encourage Chinese companies to go abroad. The platform is the first one-stop, total solution for overseas investment services, offering services including consultations, overseas investment filing, investment project referrals, investment destination introductions, industry trend analysis, overseas investment professional services, etc. The platform operates by having the government purchase services offered by professional service providers. The platform’s spotlight includes overseas investment filing, investment destination introductions, and overseas investment guidance.
