On January 20, 2024, the third annual meeting of the Belt and Road Academic Forum for Quality Development (the “Forum”) was held in Beijing.

The experts attending the Forum pointed out that, as the BRI celebrates a decade of growth, it has brought tangible benefits to participating nations, contributed positively to the healthy development of the global economy, addressed global development challenges, and enhanced global governance systems. The BRI has carved out a new route for achieving collective modernization and promoting the implementation of a community with a shared future for mankind.

The BRI’s next phase aims to deepen and solidify high-quality developments with technology cooperation as a key aspect. The Forum discussed the establishment of a BRI research association and released two reports on high-quality BRI developments which focus on science and technology as well as innovation and cooperation.
