China and Kiribati Signed Implementation Plan on Promoting Belt and Road Initiative

On May 27, 2022, the Government of China and the Government of Kiribati signed the Implementation Plan between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Kiribati on Jointly Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative (the “Implementation Plan”). The Implementation Plan outlines a roadmap for China and Kiribati to jointly promote cooperation in infrastructure, trade and investment, coping with climate change, etc.
The signing of the Implementation Plan will provide general guidance and expectations for both countries to further promote cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as to promote more friendly political relations and stronger economic ties.
