On March 7 (local time), The China (Zhejiang) Economic and Trade Seminar (the “Seminar”) was held in Lisbon, Portugal. The main objective of the Seminar was to explore opportunities for investment and trade between Portugal and Zhejiang Province, and to provide the latest information about the market and potential investment projects for companies with an interest to invest in China, particularly in Zhejiang Province.
During this Seminar, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province signed a cooperation protocol (MOU) with AICEP Portugal Global. The Zhejiang International Convention and Exhibition Industry Association also signed a MOU with the Portuguese Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC). There are a total of 7 letters of intent regarding business cooperation signed between enterprises in Zhejiang Province and Portuguese institutions, including Portuguese Automotive Cluster Association and Portuguese Association for Food Protection.
While the huge potential of the Chinese market has made China be one of the largest foreign investors in Portugal for years, Zhejiang Province has become the province with the most exports to Portugal. Those two sides will continuously strengthen their cooperation, especially in the field of high-tech, consumer goods, digital economy and green development in the future.
