Attorney Gehui Gao graduated from the Department of Law of East China University of Politics and Law with a Bachelor degree of Law. Ms. Gao was qualified as a Chinese lawyer in 1992 and was registered under the Shanghai Bureau of Justice the next year. After working at the legal affairs department of a listed foreign company and a law firm for 10 years, she went to Japan to pursue further academic studies. Ms. Gao majored in civil law and graduated from the postgraduate school of Waseda University with a Master degree of law in March 2003. She completed the JD courses of the postgraduate school of Waseda University in 2007. She was registered under the First Tokyo Bar Association as an Attorney of foreign legal affairs in 2005. She worked as the foreign law consultant and the Attorney of foreign legal affairs approved by Japan Minister of Justice for Komatsu, Koma & Nishikawa Law Offices (renamed Asahi Koma Law Offices later), Ito Mitomi Law Offices (foreign legal business joint office of Morrison & Foerster LLP) and Hisada Law Offices. After she came back to China in April 2011, Ms. Gao worked for Hua Cheng Law Firm as a Partner and She joined Allbright Law Offices since March 2015.

Ms. Gao’s legal services mainly involve various transactions between Japanese companies making investments in China and local Chinese companies, trans-border investment, merger and acquisitions, company restructuring, IPO, labor management, dispute resolution, IP right protection and anti-counterfeiting technologies. Her clients include many Fortune 500 enterprises, which cover the industry of electronic equipment, retail, logistics, chemistry, medical treatment, automotive, insurance, cosmetics, culture media, etc. She is highly experienced in handling merger and acquisitions, company establishment, restructuring, dissolution and liquidation, dispute resolution, IP right protection, technology transfer and licensing for foreign companies.

Ms. Gao wrote for serial columns such as "Chinese Law Forefront” in Chinese dragon magazine, "China Business Law Q & A" and "Shanghai Observe" in International Commercial Service magazine, “Chinese Law Forefront” and “Law Report from Shanghai” in a major Japanese website Searchina. She was commissioned by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs to write Strategies for dealing with Global Copyright Infringement: Report of Legal Investigations On the Legal Constitution and Implementation Status of Overseas Copyright(Chinese edition).

She also published hundreds of academic essays on foreign investment and civil and commercial fields in Japanese and Chinese professional journals. She gave speeches in many seminars and lectures. In 2014, she was invited by Japan Intellectual Property Association(founded in 1938, has more than 900 members, the majority of which are listed companies in Japan) and Japan External Trade Organization(Jetro) to give speeches in Japanese to their member companies in Osaka, Japan and Shanghai.
