Lawyer Hou graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics with a master's degree in civil and commercial law. Currently, he is a partner at Allbright Law firm. His main practice areas include corporate and mergers and acquisitions, litigation and arbitration, and cross-border investment and financing. His clientele encompasses large central state-owned enterprises, local state-owned enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises, multinational corporations, private listed companies, as well as private equity funds and merger and acquisition funds.
Lawyer Hou has been appointed as an invited lecturer on corporate compliance at the Certification and Research Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation, a Forbes Global International Leading Figure, an invited video media lawyer for overseas appearances by the Shanghai Lawyers Association, and a director of the Entrepreneurship and Investment Alumni Association of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
The influential merger and acquisition projects handled by Lawyer Hou include China Resources Pharmaceutical's acquisition of Boya Bio (SZ.300294), Jiangxi Pharmaceutical Group's acquisition of Hong Kong-listed company Chuangmei Pharmaceutical (HK.02289), Straumann Group (Switzerland)'s acquisition of Ziyang Lianyao, and the project of Suzhou High-Tech Group organizing a bailout fund to acquire a portion of the equity of Shengl Precision (SZ.002426), among others. The investment and financing projects include the investment of the first ESG fund in Asia managed by Fullerton Fund, a subsidiary of Temasek Holdings (Singapore), in a leading environmental protection enterprise in Beijing, Tencent's investment in a certain network technology company, NetEase's investment in a certain network technology company, and the Series C financing project of Jiangsu New Element Medicine Co., Ltd., etc.

These include representing a minority shareholder of a pre-listed company in a lawsuit for confirmation of shareholder status with the majority shareholder and the company (involving a subject matter of 100 million yuan), representing a high-net-worth investor in an equity buyback dispute worth tens of millions of yuan with the invested enterprise and the majority shareholder, and representing the principal in a entrusted wealth management dispute worth tens of millions of yuan with the entrusted wealth management party, effectively safeguarding the major legitimate rights and interests of clients.
Lawyer Hou is also widely involved in social activities. He has been interviewed by the media on hot legal issues on multiple occasions, attended and chaired relevant forums.
