Chen Yan is a senior partner at AllBright Law Offices in Shanghai. Her practice areas include M&A, investment, corporate matters, and dispute resolution.
Ms. Chen has been practicing law since 2002 and has over 18 years of professional experience. She has been retained for legal services by multiple international and domestic corporations, in a variety range of corporate transactions, involving corporate structure, corporate financing, private equity investment, commercial contracts, employment issues, and many other special areas. Ms. Chen has rich practical experience in structure design, due diligence investigation, legal document drafting, business negotiation and compliance review.
In the field of risk prevention and dispute resolution, with many years of judicial experience, Ms. Chen has represented many international and domestic clients and handled nearly one hundred lawsuits and arbitration cases in courts and arbitration institutions in China at all levels. She has also represented a client before Stockholm International Commercial Arbitration Court to participate in an international arbitration with huge amount controversy and ultimately achieved satisfactory results. She always provided clients with efficient and reliable dispute and resolution services to maximize the interests of clients.
Education and Qualification
- Ms. Chen obtained her Bachelor of Art degree from China University of Political Science and Law and a Master of Law degree from China Foreign Affairs University. She had also studied at the University of Manchester and Grenoble Graduate School of Business. In 2005, she was selected by a government sponsored program and was sent to visit the World Trade Organization and European Union for academic exchange. In 2010, she was selected by the Shanghai Bar Association for vocational training and working in Haldanes Solicitors and Notaries in Hong Kong.
- Ms. Chen is an arbitrator of Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. She also serves as independent director to a public company.
