AllBright Lawyer Participates in Cross-Strait Seminar
2013-01-144298On January 14, 2013, the Seminar on Cross-Strait Corporate Strategic Cooperation, Investment and M&A, was held in Taipei International Convention Center. The event, which was co-hosted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Taiwan’s Chinese National Federation of Industries and Taiwan’s General Chamber of Commerce, attracted more than 200 Taiwan companies. AllBright Partner Louis Meng was invited to participate in the seminar.
The PRC growth story has been a rising focus for Taiwan companies, which are increasingly interested in seeking the right PRC partner with ample resources to expand their footprint in the PRC.
Against this backdrop, PricewaterhouseCoopers invited its China head of corporate financing, and senior AllBright lawyer to share their experiences face-to-face with Taiwan companies on helping PRC companies, state-owned and private, invest overseas or achieving overseas strategic cooperation. Mr. Meng’s speech, which was insightful and full of his rich experiences in the sector, was well received by the audience.
In a press conference after the seminar, Mr. Meng was interviewed by numerous major Taiwan media outlets. These included the United Daily News, the China Times, the Economic Daily News, the Apple Daily, the Commercial Times and Wealth Magazine. He briefed the major Taiwan media outlets about AllBright Law Offices business in China, its practice areas and development strategy, paving the way for building up AllBright’s reputation among Taiwan companies, many of which may be future AllBright clients..
